Overview

Senior Project Developer BESS or PV

Location: East or Central Germany

Salary: €100,000 + bonus

My client is searching for a BESS or PV project developer, to help accelerate the production of renewable energy within the German market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure suitable open-space locations across Germany for battery energy storage systems (BESS) and photovoltaic (PV) projects. (A focus on land acquisition)
• Negotiate lease or purchase agreements with landowners and local authorities.
• Initiate and manage urban land-use planning processes, such as land-use plan amendments and development plan procedures
• Obtain necessary permits and guide projects through RTB stage.
• Serve as the main point of contact for municipalities, regulatory authorities, and other key project stakeholders

Qualifications

• completed degree in engineering, renewable energy, geography, law, urban/spatial planning, or a comparable field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in utility-scale project development for BESS and/or PV.
• Proficiency in MS Office (O365), project management tools, GIS, and ideally CAD
• Fluent in German (business-level)
• Class B driver’s license (approx. 20% travel within Germany)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a confident and professional demeanor
• Independent and self-reliant work style combined with strong team spirit
• High motivation to expand renewable energy
