Principal/Lead Product Manager – sennder HQ Berlin | Product | Hybrid | Full-time

What you will do

As Principal Product manager, you will define and execute the ML strategy for sennder’s core freight forwarding products, leading efforts to solve high-impact, real-world problems for shippers, carriers and operators. Reporting to the VP of Product Intelligent Systems, you will shape a product vision that drives scalable, intuitive, and impactful AI solutions through data-driven insights and customer focus. You would also build hybrid solutions of classical ML and GenAI.

In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will oversee multiple high stake initiatives while serving as a role model for an elite, outcome-focused organization. • Own and deliver a product strategy and roadmap, delivering measurable business results by solving the most critical problems for shippers, carriers and operators.
• Champion the use of generative AI to amplify creativity, rethink workflows, and scale decision-making in ways that differentiate sennder from competition
• Enable rapid experimentation, testing, and iteration of ML/AI solutions, ensuring ideas are validated with data and customer feedback.
• Use (Gen)AI-powered tools (Loveable, Cursor, Bolt, Replit) to build functional prototypes and validate concepts rapidly.
• Champion a culture of measurable impact and continual improvement—success is measured by business and customer outcomes, not just ML model metrics.
• Mentor and coach PM organization and act as the subject matter expert and thought leader on ML across the organization.
• Foster strong collaboration between Product, Data Science, Engineering, Design, Business teams—ensuring customer context and technical feasibility go hand-in-hand.
• Embed ML solutions with deep understanding of customer and user needs; ensure every product decision and validation is rooted in real-world feedback and rigorous data analysis.
• Design experiments that prove or kill hypotheses using data and customer feedback
• Define, measure, and track success metrics (KPIs) for all ML initiatives, using quantitative and qualitative insights to inform product direction

What we are looking for

• 8+ years of Product Management experience, including 5+ years in ML at technology-driven companies of similar complexity and scale.
• Hands-on experience with ML lifecycle (model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring) is essential
• A successful track record of success in high-growth, fast-paced environments where ambiguity and urgency are constants
• Deep product discovery, validation, and delivery expertise. Proven track record building effective cross-functional teams and fostering outcomes-driven culture.
• Expertise in using data, experimentation, and customer insights to guide product decisions and optimize outcomes
• Familiarity with A/B testing, KPI definition, and metrics-driven product management practices, including for ML products.
• Deep understanding of modern product development methodologies, including Agile and experimentation frameworks
• A balance of strategic foresight and executional excellence, delivering both vision and tangible results
• Familiarity with the latest trends in generative AI and some hands on experience with LLP based solutions is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of engaging stakeholders at every level, from technical teams to executive leadership; making complex things simple.
