This is the job. As a People & Culture Business Partner (f/m/x) - German-speaking, you combine hands-on HR operations with strategic business partnering. You support leaders and teams across functions, ensuring alignment with employment regulations, driving engagement, and contributing to a culture of growth and inclusion. This role is based in Germany, Cologne, and follows a hybrid working setup—giving you the flexibility to collaborate remotely while staying connected through regular onsite presence. You’ll be part of a dynamic, international environment where people and ideas thrive. You manage the full employee lifecycle with precision and care, from onboarding to offboarding, while ensuring that all HR operations and documentation meet internal standards and legal requirements. You act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance topics, and organizational changes. Your role includes supporting workforce planning and succession strategies, fostering talent development, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and inclusive culture. You also monitor key P&C metrics, prepare reports, and lead action planning based on survey results. In all areas of your work, you apply labor law knowledge practically and responsibly, ensuring compliance and consistency across HR practices.

  • Bring your experience in HR operations and business partnering—ideally in an international setting
  • Applying labor law in everyday HR decisions feels natural to you, and you do so with confidence

  • Payroll input, HRM systems, and employment documentation are part of your toolkit
  • Building trust across all levels comes easily thanks to your clear communication and empathy

  • You enjoy working with data and use insights to shape better people decisions
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of HR operations: contracts, onboarding, payroll input, employee data, and offboarding
  • Ensure that all processes comply with labor law and internal policies
  • Be a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance, and organizational changes
  • Conduct background checks and support internal/external audits
  • Coordinate training, reskilling, and development programs with L&D
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and inclusive culture
  • Conduct 1:1 check-ins and wellbeing meetings
  • Provide consultations on benefits, leave of absence, compensation, and workplace policies
  • Promote internal communication on P&C policies and support local events
  • Monitor P&C metrics, prepare reports, and run engagement surveys
  • Contribute to workforce planning, succession readiness, and talent development
