The candidate will simulate the effects of temperature and humidity on plastic composites and work on modeling aging processes. Requirements include a Master's background in IT or Mechanical Engineering, proficiency in German and English, and effective communication skills. Enrollment at a university is necessary for this thesis position.
Bosch is shaping the future by inventing high-quality technologies and services. We aim to grow together, enjoy our work, and inspire each other. The Robert Bosch GmbH welcomes your application.
The production of plastic products is still based largely on fossil resources. Plastic recyclates can significantly reduce the CO₂ footprint and improve product sustainability. However, current use of recyclates, especially post-consumer recyclates, requires more knowledge about aging during service life on the material state of plastics, particularly engineering plastics used in the automotive sector.
Within the scope of this thesis, the influences of temperature and humidity over a vehicle’s lifetime on the material condition of plastic composites will be simulated. The goals of the thesis are:
Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
Requirement for this thesis is the enrollment at university. Please attach your CV, transcript of records, examination regulations and if indicated a valid work and residence permit.
Diversity and inclusion are firmly anchored in our corporate culture. We welcome all applications, regardless of gender, age, disability, religion, ethnic origin or sexual identity.
