🚀 We are searching for a Managing Director to lead the German market for one of Europe’s major PV & BESS developers IPP

We are currently supporting a well-established international renewable energy developer on a key strategic hire : a Managing Director to build, scale, and lead their German business.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced professional who understands the reality of development in Germany, land, permitting, grid, teams, regulators, partners… the whole ecosystem.

If you’ve built pipelines, managed teams, and delivered RTB assets in the German market, this could be a very strong next step.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Driving the company’s expansion in the German PV and BESS markets
• Building and managing a strong development pipeline from origination to RTB
• Identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic growth areas
• Establishing and scaling the German country team, ensuring high performance
• Leading & mentoring team members while shaping the country strategy
• Overseeing the entire development lifecycle :
• land acquisition, permitting, environmental topics, grid connection, and technical coordination
• Managing relationships with landowners, municipalities, regulators, grid operators, advisors, and partners

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of experience in renewable energy development (PV and / or BESS strongly preferred)
• Proven leadership experience managing development teams or country operations in Germany
• Deep understanding of German permitting, land development, and grid connection processes
• Fluency in German & English
• Willingness to travel across Germany when needed
