Legal Counsel - IT & Data Protection

Our client is seeking a qualified lawyer to support a wide range of legal and regulatory matters across their organisation.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters, particularly in IT and data protection law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including license, cloud / SaaS, and project agreements.
• Monitor and implement new regulatory requirements (e.g. DORA, AI Act, Digital Services Act).
• Support compliance efforts, regulatory reporting, and incident handling.
• Develop internal policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified lawyer with expertise in IT law, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in a legal department or law firm, ideally within regulated industries.
• Solid understanding of EU regulations (e.g. GDPR, DORA, AI Act).
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance.
• Independent, assertive, and business-minded.
• Fluent in English and German.
