Are you a Day 1 thinker who is passionate about learning and development and has experience leading teams in fast-paced operational environments?

Then we are looking for you. As Learning Manager, your role will be to manage the learning needs of all employees based in your Sort Centre, as well as managing a team of trainers to execute the learning offer to our associates and managers.

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be very close to the action, spending time on the warehouse floor with the teams who make our sites great. Amazon has experienced rapid growth over the last few years, and we plan to continue growing.

The Learning Manager is responsible for DE-based sites. This involves training and coaching many new employees and helping everyone stay curious and engaged in learning.

We are seeking a learning professional with the ability and initiative to understand business needs, analyze issues, and influence solutions and outcomes. You will work closely with the Senior Learning Program Manager to partner with operations and ensure customer needs are met. You should be a team player who can leverage their Trainer team to respond effectively to various training scenarios and work closely with operations and the central EU team to prioritize and deploy training programs based on customer needs—ranging from large-scale training processes to ongoing leadership development.

As an on-site Learning Manager, you should be confident in interfacing with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders. Your role will be vital to Amazon's growth and success, supporting team members from hourly associates to senior leaders.

This is an onsite role.

Key job responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of associate training across all levels based on training needs analysis, ensuring high-quality training
  • Auditing training and coaching quality, and defining improvement plans as needed
  • Recruiting, managing, and developing a team of Trainers and Instructors, supporting their career growth
  • Ensuring positive collaboration between the learning team and relevant stakeholders
  • Analyzing metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensuring effective onboarding and a positive onboarding experience for all associates
  • Creating and updating learning materials and processes
  • Training the learning team on updates to materials and processes
  • Acting as a proxy for the Senior Learning Program Manager when necessary
  • Contributing to the development of EU-wide training materials and processes, collaborating on regional projects
  • Ensuring Learning & Development targets are met

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field, or 2 years of Amazon tenure
  • Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
