Overview

ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is one of the leading certification systems for sustainability, traceability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The ISCC Logos, Claims and Licensing team is looking to welcome you as a (Junior) System Manager at our ISCC headquarters in Cologne. Your Main Duties

• You will serve as the primary point of contact for brand owners, providing expert guidance throughout the ISCC certification and licensing processes.
• You will lead the review and processing of license applications, including interpretation of legal clauses and assisting with comments in cooperation with external legal counsel.
• You will continuously evaluate and develop new approaches for actors at the end of the supply chain.
• You will maintain and independently improve internal tracking tools to manage and monitor license status, ensuring efficient flow and driving application progress.
• You will guide and actively approach system users (mostly brand owners) on the proper use and phrasing of ISCC logos and claims.
• You will manage and maintain the products’ data related to the ISCC logos and claims usage.
• You will develop processes for monitoring the market for potential misuse of ISCC logos and claims, flagging issues and supporting counter measures.
• You will deliver trainings and presentations related to ISCC Logos, Claims and Licensing as a technical expert.
• You will lead and work independently on projects focused on improving the use of Logos and Claims, as well as the ISCC Licensing Scheme, including the development of clear and accessible guidelines, exploring new topics, and driving data and process optimisation.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in business administration, law, sustainability studies, environmental science, or another related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience, preferably in sustainability certification systems, project management, customer service, or sustainability management.
• In-depth knowledge and a strong interest in sustainability topics, particularly within downstream supply chains and in the regulatory space.
• Proven experience in customer support, operational roles, or similar, with strong communication, problem-solving, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to effectively manage complex inquiries and provide clear, strategic guidance to stakeholders.
• Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
• Very good IT proficiency; basic knowledge of project management tools (Confluence, Jira) is a plus.
