As an ISMS Consultant, you will strengthen our IT security team in the area of information security management systems (ISMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 based on BSI IT-Grundschutz. You will support our customers in the public sector in setting up, further developing, and sustainably operating ISM systems. This includes defining IT security guidelines and concepts, conducting protection needs assessments, risk analyses, and GAP analyses. You will work across departments with specialist areas and IT managers, accompany internal and external audits, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and the ISMS. The role is also suitable for candidates with a solid foundation in information security who want to develop their skills in a specific area.

Tasks:

• Development, implementation, and maintenance of information security management systems (ISMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz. Identification, assessment, and tracking of information security risks. Development, updating, and implementation of guidelines, policies, processes, and reports on information security.
• Performing risk analyses and risk treatment.
• Monitoring compliance with internal specifications and legal/regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
• Supporting internal and external audits (preparation, evidence, measure controlling).

Qualifications:

• You already have basic knowledge of information security and risk management (e.g., ISO 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz).
• You have a technical understanding of IT systems, networks, and organizational processes.
• You are characterized by diligence, confidentiality, and a sense of responsibility, as well as a structured approach to your work.
• You have very good German skills (at least C1) and good English skills.
• Interest in further training/certifications

Desirable (not a must)

• Knowledge of BSI standards 200-x and the BSI IT baseline protection methodology.
• Initial practical experience with ISMS/GRC tools (e.g., HiScout) and audit preparation.
