Overview
In this exciting position your main task is to implement and execute the local Motion strategy in the field of TGA particularly HVAC (Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning). In this role you are responsible for the support and targeted processing of planning and engineering offices and especially end customer companies. We rely on your knowledge of our products such as frequency converters controls and motors as well as your expertise in the HVAC industry. Responsibilities
- Implement and execute the local Motion strategy in the field of TGA, with a focus on HVAC, and support planning/engineering offices and end customer companies.
- Utilize knowledge of ABB products (frequency converters, controls, motors) and HVAC industry expertise.
- Join the Business Development team to grow in the German HVAC market.
You are mainly responsible for
- Conduct technical and commercial negotiations with customers and identify and support existing and new customers at municipal and industrial levels.
- Focus on acquiring new customers with cold calling and market development in data centers, district heating, and industrial heat pump applications.
- Provide technical advice, product pre-qualification, and training to planners, engineering offices, system integrators, and end customers.
- Prepare and evaluate customer, market, and competitive information for short- and long-term planning decisions in coordination with local management.
- Collaborate with other ABB business units and local sales units to increase and sustainably develop the market and identify customer projects early.
- Engage in association work with local associations and organize, conduct, and participate in specialist conferences, product presentations, regional trade fairs, marketing activities, training activities, and exhibitions.
Qualifications for the role
- Successfully completed technical studies or a technician / masters degree preferably in the field of electrical engineering, electric drive technology, or HVAC.
- Several years of professional experience in field sales, particularly in cold calling and the sale of technically complex products.
- Cold calling is one of your sales strengths.
- Excellent knowledge in the heating / ventilation / air conditioning industry as well as detailed product knowledge in the field of drive technology (drives and motors).
- Experience in the strategic development of customer relationships and responsibility for revenue, margin, and customer growth.
- Knowledge in project management and experience in managing / collaborating with sales channels.
- Experience in organizing trade show appearances / customer events with a product focus.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken, and a high willingness to travel nationally.
