Backed by top-tier investors (Earlybird, b2venture) and growing faster than a dad joke at a Monday all-hands, we're seeking an HR Generalist (f/m/d) to own recruiting and People operations end to end as we scale from 30+ people toward the next stage.

What You Will Do

Own hiring end to end

  • Partner with hiring managers and C-Level on headcount planning, job definitions, and scorecards.
  • Source candidates directly, manage inbound pipelines, schedule interviews, run structured processes, and drive offer negotiation.
  • Maintain the careers page and job boards, coordinate referrals, and manage agency relationships where useful.

Run HR Ops without handoffs

  • Prepare and manage contracts, addenda, and documentation.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, benefits, and time off.
  • Ensure compliance with German employment law and GDPR, and support additional countries as we expand.
  • Maintain our HRIS and recruiting tools. Keep clean, auditable records.

Deliver smooth onboarding and offboarding

  • Create and execute onboarding plans with 30, 60, 90-day milestones.
  • Arrange equipment, access, and trainings in coordination with Operations and IT.
  • Run offboarding, including knowledge transfer and system access revocation.

Keep the People engine measurable

  • Track a small, useful set of KPIs such as time to hire, pipeline health, offer acceptance, onboarding success, retention risk, and employee lifecycle events.
  • Report regularly to C-Level and share insights that lead to action.

Support managers and the team

  • Provide templates, checklists, and simple toolkits for feedback and performance conversations.
  • Be a trusted point of contact for employee questions, escalating to C-Level or external counsel when needed.
  • Coordinate with external partners such as legal, payroll, and EOR providers.

Scope and expectations

  • Reports into C-Level.
  • Individual contributor for at least the first 12 months, no immediate team hiring planned.
  • Pragmatic mindset. Strategy is welcome when it translates into concrete action this quarter.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or People Ops lead in a fast-scaling startup, with hands-on ownership of recruiting and HR operations.
  • You have directly supported growth from roughly 25 to 100 people, ideally from Seed to Series A or beyond.
  • Strong working knowledge of the German job market, employment law, payroll, and compliance, with the ability to learn new jurisdictions quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clarity, build simple processes, and keep momentum without requiring a team around you.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and German.
  • A doer mindset. You are happy to write the JD, post it, source candidates, schedule interviews, draft the contract, and welcome the new joiner yourself.
