The Position

Step into a role where your strategic vision and quality leadership will shape the future of global vaccines and biologicals manufacturing. As the Head of Quality AH Biologics Europe/China, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our internal manufacturing network consistently meets the appropriate GxP standards and remains inspection ready at all times. In this influential global position, you will guide and empower site Quality teams, foster strong cross‑regional collaboration, and serve as the key contact for product‑related quality topics across Europe and China. Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Provide quality oversight for the manufacturing sites in your area of responsibility with a functional reporting line and act as the key contact for product‑related topics in the region.
  • Coach and support site Q teams to ensure inspection readiness and resolve issues.
  • Use your project management skills to efficiently lead and support local/global projects.
  • Establish close collaboration within the AH network, with regional peers and site Q teams, and foster knowledge exchange.
  • Ensure quality compliance with international regulations (GxPs) and BI Quality standards for internal sites.
  • As an Animal Health Global Quality Leadership team member, contribute knowledge to the AH Global Quality Leadership Team, detect risks and drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering); PhD is an advantage.
  • Long‑term operational experience in pharmaceutical and vaccine/biotechnology quality (active ingredient and drug product manufacturing); proven experience with aseptic/sterile manufacturing is expected.
  • Extensive knowledge of international regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA/EU/WHO GMP).
  • Experience working in an international team and matrix environment with a broad network across the company.
  • Capacity to provide functional leadership and a proven record of developing people.
  • Inquisitive and creative personality with a willingness to act as a trustful sparring partner.
  • Excellent command of the English language required; German and/or French language skills would be a plus, paired with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ready to travel and visit sites as needed (about 20‑25% of your working time).
