Hanson Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our team supporting our client in the gaming industry. The individual in this role will perform frontend UX work and provide ad-hoc secondary backend engineering support for Xbox game creator services such as Developer Forums and Microsoft’s gaming developer site at microsoft.com/games.

Work will include focusing on accessibility and responsive design needs, supporting systems/tools for our client’s managed partners, and creating and implementing a ticketing application.

Requirements:

• Must be a resident of Costa Rica and willing to work Pacific Time hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and maintain user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript, ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, and performance.
• Collaborate with designers and teams to translate mockups into functional components.
• Design reusable React component architectures focusing on performance.
• Optimize front-end performance with techniques like lazy loading and code splitting.
• Ensure applications are fully responsive across devices.
• Implement accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.0.
• Manage data flow and UI state with React's state management tools.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Support bug fixes and maintain applications built with AngularJS.
• Provide backend support for systems/tools as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Secondary education degree (Bachiller Universitario or Licenciado).
• At least 3 years of experience with React or similar frameworks and core JavaScript.
• At least 2 years of experience with backend languages like C#, .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with CSS frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git and source control practices.
• Experience with Context API, Redux, or Recoil.
• Familiarity with bundlers like Webpack, Vite, or Parcel, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with tools like Figma, SharePoint, and ADO is a plus.
