Forward‑Deployed Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Join Agile Robots SE as a Forward‑Deployed Software Engineer. You will deploy our software at customer sites, integrate it with on‑site systems, troubleshoot issues, and feed precise findings back to the engineering team. When you’re not traveling, you’ll contribute directly as a software engineer to our product codebase.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and validate our software in on‑premise customer environments.
• Investigate and resolve issues on site; create minimal repros and hand them over to Engineering as needed.
• Integrate with customer infrastructure and verify end‑to‑end workflows.
• Provide concise field feedback that informs product priorities.
• Act as a development team member when not traveling, applying your on‑site knowledge to guide design and implementation towards impactful outcomes.

Essential Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
• Strong C# skills.
• Experience with desktop/UI frameworks (WPF, Avalonia).
• Enthusiasm for robotics and industrial automation.
• Willingness to travel at least 60 % of the time.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Beneficial Skills

• Experience with robotics, machine vision, PLCs, or Modbus.
• C++ experience.
