This role requires 50-70% travel, planned in advance.

Responsibilities

  1. Support scientists across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and neighboring countries through expert training and technical assistance.
  2. Perform diagnostics, repairs, installations, and calibrations on-site for CYTENA products and related equipment.
  3. Provide remote and on-site technical support and training to ensure optimal product performance and customer satisfaction.
  4. Lead product demonstrations and workshops at customer sites, conferences, and tradeshows.
  5. Assist customers in troubleshooting and optimizing workflows with scientific advice aligned to research goals.
  6. Collaborate with sales, product management, and service teams to relay customer feedback and support product development.
  7. Continuously update knowledge of life science trends through training and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  1. MSc or PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
  2. Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, preferably in cell biology, single-cell technologies, or genomics.
  3. Willingness to travel across Central Europe (approx. 50–70%), mainly within the DACH region.
  4. Experience in customer-facing or technical support roles is advantageous.
  5. Strong communication skills for explaining complex scientific concepts.
  6. Proactive problem-solving skills and structured troubleshooting approach.
  7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and document thoroughly.
  8. Confidence in presenting and leading training sessions.
  9. Fluent in English; German, Dutch, or French is a plus.
  10. Good access to a major airport for regional travel.
  11. Familiarity with lab software tools, data analysis, or imaging.
  12. Comfortable with CRM systems and basic maintenance of CYTENA products.
