Overview

As the Director of Sales & Partner Business for our newly established Public Sector business unit in the DACH region, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships with public sector organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the public sector in the DACH region. Drive the complete sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and managing ongoing relationships. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear forecasts and performance metrics.
  • Partner Ecosystem Development: Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with local technology vendors, system integrators, and consultancy firms. Act as the primary liaison between our organization and external partners, ensuring alignment of objectives and maximizing market reach.
  • Market Engagement & Relationship Building: Build strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers in municipalities, state agencies, and federal institutions. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public sector forums to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
  • Tender Management & Proposal Development: Oversee the development of competitive, compliant tender responses in alignment with local procurement regulations. Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., technical, marketing, legal) to craft compelling proposals that address client needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  • A proven track record (8+ years) in public sector sales and partner management within the DACH region
  • Deep understanding of public procurement processes, regulatory compliance, and tendering in the public sector
  • Experience in selling complex IT solutions (e.g., digital transformation, cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity) to public sector clients
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships and alliances
  • Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and greenfield environment
  • Excellent German and English language skills
  • High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity to the public sector landscape
