Overview

Data Protection Consultant — Location: Bonn (Hybrid).

Our client is seeking a Data Protection Consultant to improve and streamline internal processes in data protection, compliance, governance, and risk management. A key focus is optimising workflows - such as reviewing data processing agreements (DPAs) - through automation and collaboration with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve existing workflows (e.g. DPA reviews), identifying inefficiencies and reporting on resource use.
• Work with product and development teams to support automation and process enhancements.
• Define use cases for AI tools, supply test data, and assess outputs to ensure quality.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders on best practices in privacy and compliance.
• Share insights on tool usage and integration to maximise operational efficiency.
• Opportunity to expand into broader compliance, privacy, or risk areas.

Your Profile

• Background in law, business, IT or similar, with knowledge of data protection and compliance.
• Experience in project coordination or management; process management experience is a plus.
• Interest in new technologies, especially automation, data workflows, or AI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise complex processes.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills in both German and English.
