Qualifikationen

Data Architect (f/m/d) for data strategy and management

The Data Architect (f/m/d) for data strategy and management plays a key role in driving the transformation of the entire Research & Development organization toward a data‑driven approach. This includes ensuring compliance with external requirements such as European Union data protection regulations, the EU Data Act, and other relevant standards.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams, product lifecycle management, and various stakeholders across the worldwide organization. Your primary responsibility will focus on product & service aspects.What we offer you:

You’ll create impact by:

  • Developing comprehensive data management strategies in our products and services to ensure efficient data utilisation, storage, and retrieval across the worldwide organisation – in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements – Deriving development guidelines and recommendations from laws, regulations, and standards – Monitoring data governance policies in our products and services to ensure compliance with global data protection regulations and internal guidelines – safeguarding data integrity and security – Designing and implementing data‑handling frameworks and concepts such as APIs and telemetry systems to enhance data accessibility, integration, and transparency within our products and services – Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure that data management initiatives are harmonised and aligned – fostering a unified approach across all products and services – Designing and optimising data architecture models to support scalable and efficient data processing and minimise redundant data flows – Guiding how data from various sources is processed to establish a consistent and high‑quality data foundation – Defining and controlling access rights and security mechanisms to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance – Applying advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to derive actionable insights from product and service data and support decision‑making and strategic planning – Evaluating new technologies and developing innovative data solutions to continuously evolve and future‑proof the data architecture

Your success is grounded in

Education – A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field

Experience & Skills – At least 5 years of experience in a senior, global architecture role with a clear mandate for overarching governance and guidance (ideally across multiple portfolios) – Proven long‑term experience in data strategy development and data management, with deep expertise in data architecture and technical frameworks such as state‑of‑the‑art APIs and telemetry systems – Proven ability to translate regulations, like EU Data Act, into actionable guidelines that drive compliance and operational excellence to foster a data‑driven culture – Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle complex data issues – Additional proficiency in data modelling, data integration, and analytics tools, combined with the ability to derive actionable insights from data, is highly desirable

Ways of working – Effective communicator who collaborates efficiently with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders – Adaptability to work in dynamic environments, demonstrating leadership in guiding teams through data‑driven transformations

Languages – Fluency in German and English, facilitating collaboration in international teams and with global stakeholders
