Responsibilities
  • Ensure an effective and efficient compliance management system within the company
  • Ensure good communication to employees across Europe as well as develop, update and implementation of the company policies, guidelines and control measures in collaboration with local business units in Europe as well with the Compliance Department
  • Carry out compliance risk assessments and identify compliance needs and issues in other areas such as anti-bribery, competition law and fraud (including draft preparation as well as modifying and implementation of company standards and policies)
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies, including evaluating the efficiency of control
  • Creating and updating compliance training documents (e.g. anti bribery, competition law, etc.) and conducting compliance training
  • Dealing with compliance incidents and conducting internal investigations
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with German state examinations or business lawyer (Diplom Wirtschaftsjurist) (m/f/d) or a comparable foreign qualification
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in working with compliance matters preferably in a multi-national cooperation or an international law firm with a corresponding focus
  • Good knowledge in all relevant compliance areas, e.g. anti-bribery, competition law, fraud, etc.
  • Knowledge in audits /internal investigations processes
  • Experience in working cross-border and cross-department would be an advantage
  • Business fluent in written and spoken German and English, especially the legal language
