Role Overview

As the DACH Commercial Director, you will lead the commercial transformation and strategic direction of Professional Solutions across the region. This role blends category stewardship, people leadership, and direct commercial ownership for high‑potential units operating both locally and across EMEA. It represents a pivotal opportunity to lead from the front and establish new business pillars for EssilorLuxottica in one of its most critical markets.

Strategic Roadmap & Key Responsibilities
Wearables
  • Launch and lead the new Wearables category, defining market strategy and innovation roadmap
  • Scale Nuance Audio into a key performance lever
  • Reignite performance of Ray‑Ban Meta, post‑2025 relaunch in Germany; activate new market entries in Switzerland and Austria
  • Oversee market entry and activation of Oakley Meta, contributing to both wearables and sports verticals
Medical & Instruments
  • Accelerate the organizational journey toward becoming a MedTech‑ready player within 3–5 years
  • Lead recovery and repositioning of the Instruments category amid competitive pressure
  • Support the growth and structuring of our newly formed Medical organization as a future cornerstone of the business
Safety
  • Expand the Safety business from its current reliance on Germany into a full EMEA footprint, stretching from Northern Europe to Iberia
  • Prepare the business for a potential strategic M&A opportunity within the next 24 months to secure market leadership in Safety
CIC DACH Transformation
  • Redesign the Customer Interaction Center from a traditional service model into a digitally enhanced customer engagement hub
  • Streamline front and back office operations, reduce complexity, and drive organizational rethinking
  • Champion CSAT improvement efforts, especially across the Essilor and Luxottica customer journeys
Sports
  • Grow an already well‑performing Sports business by capitalizing on operational strengths and aligning with the Oakley Meta product launch
Candidate Profile
  • 15+ years of commercial leadership experience, preferably in MedTech and / or consumer care sectors
  • Strong academic background in business or commercial disciplines
  • Demonstrated success delivering results in the DACH region
  • Excellent financial acumen and strategic business mindset
  • Entrepreneurial drive, with a proactive and problem‑solving orientation
  • Consistently challenges the status quo to identify areas for optimization and innovation
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop cross‑functional teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within the region
