Position Profile

A Business Development Manager is to be appointed to help capture market opportunities in the DACH region. Working closely with the Head of Continental Europe Client Consulting, senior colleagues across Europe and the global research team, this role will play a crucial part in supporting business growth.

This position is ideal for a driven individual with solid experience in the investment management industry who is eager to advance their career in business development. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to establish credibility with institutional clients at all levels.

A thorough understanding of asset classes, particularly illiquid private markets, is highly desirable. A proven track record in institutional sales gained from asset management, investment consulting, or the sell-side is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and implement a business development plan for the DACH region
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research and prospecting
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service and responsiveness
  • Collaborate with colleagues in sales and marketing on strategies, presentations, and proposals
  • Stay informed about industry trends and communicate the value of products and services to clients
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and monitor progress toward business objectives
Candidate Profile
  • Solid professional experience in financial services with a focus on asset management or related areas
  • University degree in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of the DACH institutional investment market, including regulatory and market dynamics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Fluency in German and English is required
