As an AWS Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and efficiency of our Cloud Infrastructure. With our expanding operations in the AWS Cloud, we seek someone who will not only manage existing security protocols but proactively develop and implement new strategies to enhance our Cloud Security posture.

Responsibilities

• Deployment & optimization of cloud-native applications in the AWS Cloud
• Ensuring they meet security standards and performance requirements within the AWS environment
• Building Cloud Center of Excellence using best practices, standards, and governance in cloud security across the organization’s AWS infrastructure
• Automation of management and governance at scale on AWS using tools and scripts to ensure consistent security measures across all resources
• Development and implementation of Infrastructure as Code to manage and deploy AWS infrastructure, embedding security controls within code repositories and deployment pipelines
• Execution of security & penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions
• Deploying, automating, and managing AWS cloud-based systems according to the AWS Well-Architected Framework, focusing on security best practices and scalability
• Analysis and optimization of existing AWS workloads to identify security gaps and performance bottlenecks, then implement optimizations to enhance security and efficiency

Your profile

• Fluency in German language
• AWS Certified Security Specialty or comparable
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
• DevSecOps mindset
• Advanced experience in building and deploying AWS cloud solutions
• Good experience with management and governance: building and provisioning of AWS multi-account environments
• Good experience with consulting
• Good experience with infrastructure as code (CDK/CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python)
• Good experience with designing and developing CI/CD environments
• Good understanding of serverless and container tools
• Good experience practicing ShiftLeft and Security-as-Code
• Basic experience with AI TRISM
