We are continuing to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of Avionics Diagnostics Engineer (m/f/d).

In this role you will develop real time software, build fault injection frameworks, and validate systems through SIL/HIL environments, ensuring compliance with international certification standards.

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years in avionics/embedded software; 2+ years in diagnostics, fault injection, or health monitoring
  • Strong C/C++ programming and RTOS experience (VxWorks, INTEGRITY, QNX, FreeRTOS)
  • Hands on with MPUs/MCUs/SoCs; FPGA experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with debugging tools and embedded development environments
  • Experience with requirements engineering tools such as DOORS and Polarion
  • Experience with system/software design and modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect (EA) and UML
  • Knowledge of unit-testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and SIL/HIL testing
  • Familiarity with flight simulation environments and navigation systems
  • Scripting (Python/PowerShell) for automation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, global teams
  • Proactive, flexible, and motivated mindset; start-up experience is a plus

Your mission
  • Develop and integrate diagnostics architecture (monitoring, fault reporting, self diagnostics)
  • Implement real time C/C++ code on RTOS for diagnostics and maintenance algorithms
  • Design data logging mechanisms and communication interfaces (Ethernet, TCP/IP, CAN, AFDX)
  • Build and execute fault injection frameworks to validate diagnostic coverage
  • Prepare and manage SIL/HIL test environments; plan and execute diagnostic test activities
  • Ensure compliance with DO 178C, DO 254, ICAO/FAA/EASA standards
  • Produce clear documentation: requirements, test plans, release notes, user manuals
