A leading international automotive consultancy is seeking a Lead Engineer for their European Battery Reman team in Essen, Germany. This role involves acting as the technical lead for remanufactured BEV/PHEV batteries, ensuring quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be High Voltage certified and have strong organizational skills. Proficiency in English is a must and knowledge of German or Dutch is advantageous. The position offers a full-time contract with a hybrid working model, starting from January 1, 2026.

Acting as technical lead for Reman BEV / PHEV Batteries, liaising with several business functions (Aftermarket Purchasing, Engineering, STA) and Suppliers, to deliver a quality Reman part, approved by all key stakeholders, on‑time and to budget. The Reman Engineer will be considered as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Reman BEV / PHEV Battery Engineering.
The EV – PHEV Support is to enhance the Reman ‘product portfolio’ by defining and delivering engineering support for BEV / PHEV Batteries, increasing Reman revenue & profit, and return substantial warranty cost savings to JLR.
