Job Title: Application Specialist Europe – Super Resolution Imaging Systems

Description: CSR Biotech is growing in Europe, with the Heidelberg office playing a key role in global expansion. This role focuses on demonstrating MI-SIM system portfolios, providing technical support and training, assisting with imaging experiments, and contributing to the development of imaging solutions. There are opportunities to evolve into commercial or technical sales roles.
Responsibilities
- Sample Preparation and Imaging
- Master and apply advanced techniques for preparing and imaging super-resolution samples, ensuring high-quality results.
- Pre-Sales Testing
- Conduct comprehensive pre-sales testing and evaluations of MI-SIM microscopy systems, providing expert guidance to potential users.
- Support commercial teams by delivering remote and on-site demonstrations, articulating product value and technical advantages to prospective clients.
- On-Site Support
- Provide on-site support, including training users on MI-SIM microscopy systems, designing and executing complex imaging protocols, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Market Awareness
- Stay informed about trends and advancements in bio-imaging, gather user feedback, and contribute to feature and product development.
- Market Promotion
- Participate in promotional activities, including conferences and workshops, to showcase products in international markets.
This role offers exposure to customer-facing environments and supports career paths into technical sales or business development.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Master’s degree or higher in Biology, Optics, or related field with strong imaging/microscopy emphasis.
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience in sample preparation techniques (e.g., fluorescent labeling) and advanced imaging.
- Microscopy Systems Knowledge:
- Familiarity with super-resolution systems such as confocal, spinning disk confocal, SIM, STORM, and STED is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Proven experience managing imaging facilities in academic or research settings is a plus.
- Versatility:
- Willingness to engage in all aspects of biomedical imaging instruments, including research, development, manufacturing, testing, and service.
- Commercial Interest:
- Interest in the commercial side of scientific instrumentation; opportunities for growth in technical sales or customer engagement.
- Travel:
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly for demonstrations, on-site support, and conferences/workshops.
