Job summary

A leading transportation company is looking for a Class 1 driver based in Whitehorse to operate long-haul routes primarily on the Dempster Highway. Candidates must have at least 5 years of mountain driving experience and a Class 1 license. The position offers competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and may require loading/unloading cargo. Qualifications

  • Must live in Whitehorse.
  • Own a new Model Truck, please provide year & specs.
  • 5 years of mountain driving experience required.
  • Off-road experience is a major asset.
  • Able to provide criminal record check and driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle on long-haul routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure safe and timely delivery of cargo.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck cabin.

Skills
