Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in New Brunswick is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver autonomous clinical care. The successful candidate will be responsible for advanced nursing practices including diagnostic testing and minor procedures. Strong communication and independent working abilities are essential. A valid driver's license and a BLS certificate are required. The position is temporary and offers competitive salary ranging between $63.65 and $77.59 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Two years' experience in clinical nursing or community health setting preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with a diploma or degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care autonomously.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic agenda and perform minor invasive procedures.

Skills

Knowledge of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Scope of Practice for RN (NP)s
Knowledge of the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses
Advanced nursing care knowledge related to health assessments
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to perform independently
Ability to function in a demanding environment
Cultural sensitivity
Knowledge of electronic medical systems

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
Active practicing membership on the RN Extended Practice (EP) Register
