Job summary
A dental laboratory in Metro Vancouver is seeking a full-time Dental Laboratory Assistant. The role involves preparing plaster models, casting alloys, and finishing dentures. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in the dental technology field and a completion of secondary school is required. This position offers a competitive wage of $34.00-$38.00 per hour, health care, and vacation pay.

Responsibilities
- Prepare plaster models and moulds from dental impressions.
- Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases.
- Finish the metal framework of dentures and polish and buff dentures.
Skills
Education
- Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
- Wage: $34.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
- Number of Positions: 1
- 4 % Vacation Pay
- Health Care and dental care after 9 months
Job Duties:
- Prepare plaster models and moulds from dental impressions
- Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
- Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
- Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
- Mould wax over denture setups to create the full contours of artificial gums
- Finish the metal framework of dentures and polish and buff dentures to obtain a natural finish
- Fabricate orthodontic bands from metals such as silver or stainless steel
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 1~2 years of experience in dental technology industry is required
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required
