We are looking for a Senior Business Planning Analyst (Contract) to drive impactful financial insights and support strategic decision-making across high-visibility projects. What You'll Do:
- Works cross-functionally supporting managers with ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling; creates, maintains, and distributes reporting to senior management that provides clear understanding of business performance, financial processes, and KPIs.
- Assists with research of business and macro environment to support analysis of business performance, initiatives, and cases; conducts financial analysis on business strategies and tactics.
- Assesses existing processes for areas of improvement and aid in implementing solutions to improve efficiency and results.
- Builds scenario plans on business initiatives identifying the financial impact and evaluates competitor's market strategies by looking at key financial metrics and data.
- Prepares presentations for senior Executives on various financial and business planning initiatives; provides supporting materials to enhance internal decision making.
- Partners and leads ad-hoc projects as required.
About You:
- A post-secondary education in related quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics/Statistics, Information Science, Commerce/Economics, Engineering, Finance/Accounting).
- Obtained or working towards relevant business-related designation (e.g. CPA, CFA, MBA).
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial planning and/or data analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel; particularly the analysis features and ability to automate/customize using VBA, Macros.
- Previous experience working in Oracle, TM1, Hyperion, and creating dashboards in Power Bi, Power Query, Power Automate; knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) is an asset.
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently and collaborate with others as required; operates effectively within detail-oriented, multi-project environments while meeting tight and fixed deadlines.
- Innovative thinker with a passion for quantitative analysis; solutions-oriented, motivated to add value and drive business results.
