Role Description The Associate, Private Equity Portfolio Strategy supports the construction and optimization of CPP Investments’ global private equity portfolio. This role involves conducting financial and market analysis, managing capital allocation and forecasting, and developing tools that enhance portfolio insights and decision-making. The Associate will collaborate across the Private Equity department and the broader organization to support initiatives that drive long-term value creation and portfolio performance.
The Portfolio Strategy Group is part of the Private Equity (PE) department at CPP Investments. PE manages $140 billion of net assets and is responsible for the firm’s private equity investments globally. By investing in funds, secondaries, growth equity and directly in private equity, we seek opportunities to build a global, diversified portfolio that will outperform comparable passive public alternatives over the long term. The Portfolio Strategy group within PE seeks to enhance the risk-adjusted returns of the portfolio through portfolio construction techniques that enable the department to meet the targeted return and maximize alpha while balancing investing and developing strong long-term value-add partnerships to the total Fund.
