A government agency in Massey Drive, Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking a pharmacist to dispense medications and provide customer consultations. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, possess a valid license, and work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on client care. Responsibilities include advising on drug interactions, ordering stock, and supervising pharmacy staff. - Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities is required.
- Ability to dispense pharmaceuticals and advise on medication.
- Experience in a community or retail pharmacy is preferred.
Responsabilités
- Advise customers on pharmaceuticals, including dosage and interactions.
- Dispense prescribed medications to customers.
- Order and maintain stock of pharmaceuticals.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and maintain medication profiles.

- Bachelor's degree

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
- Community or retail pharmacy
- Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage
- Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals
- Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
- Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication
- Check prescriptions for proper dosage
- Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients
- Hire and train staff
- Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
- Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products
- Supervise and co‑ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff
