We are currently recruiting a passionate, dedicated, team-oriented, self-motivated, and goal-driven individual for the position of Sales Representative, Edmonton. The Role :
The Sales Representative is responsible for managing, selling to, and planning for a variety of multi-channel customers, including Regional Corporate Retail, Independent Retailers, Grocery, and On-Premise Accounts. The main goal is to secure distribution and expand sales of our premium wine portfolio, focusing on increasing volume and market share while positioning Arterra Wines Canada as the primary supplier of premium wines in the area.
What you will be doing :
- Utilize Arterra Wines Canada’s selling methodology to grow volume, sales revenue, market share, and to promote our product mix to generate strong EBIT and ROI.
- Achieve and surpass annual sales volume, revenue, and margin targets for your accounts, aligning with the territory and provincial business plans.
- Develop annual account plans, prepare progress reports, and monitor industry and competitive information.
- Maintain a consistent call pattern and schedule for a predefined group of accounts based on volume and opportunity rankings.
- Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations to increase account share and secure distribution at new and developing accounts.
- Use Salesforce.com for business planning, call scheduling, and real-time tracking of initiatives and targets.
- Manage and oversee promotional budgets at both the account and territory levels.
Additionally, you will:
- Establish and maintain a strong position as a trusted partner and resource within your trading area.
- Build professional relationships with key decision-makers and their partners.
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and consulting on wine lists for restaurants, hotels, and pubs.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Trade Marketing, Business Insights, and Human Resources to foster positive business growth.
- Identify, develop, and manage value-added initiatives like tastings, incentives, display programs, education programs, and events.
- Complete other special projects, including trade events, trade shows, consumer tastings, seminars, staff training, and store setups.
What you will bring :
- A University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
- 1-3 years of successful experience in a similar role.
- WSET or ISG Certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of wine products and beverage alcohol industry.
- Experience in account/territory management.
- Proven sales and negotiation skills or certification.
- Strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving and negotiation abilities, with effective customer and peer engagement.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, disciplined, and driven.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and web-based tools.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Genuine passion for the beverage alcohol industry.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
- Residency within or near the sales territory.
- Ability to lift wine cases up to 45 pounds.

Compensation : The budgeted range is $55,000 - $72,000 annually. Compensation considers experience, education, licenses, certifications, and organizational factors. Base pay is part of the total rewards package at Arterra.
