Job summary
A local food establishment is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring quality standards and staff training. The ideal candidate should have a secondary school graduation certificate and 1-2 years of experience in food service. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing supplies, and addressing customer concerns. This position offers full-time permanent employment in Langley, BC, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.
Qualifications
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service supervision.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
- Hire food service staff.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Establish work schedules.
