Position Summary
Under general supervision, performs precision tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC equipment. Communicates with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction. Promotes products and services. Reports to the Field Supervisor or General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance calls under supervision
- Conduct routine tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC systems and accessories
- Inspect and diagnose equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Complete routine maintenance and cleaning
- Manage parts and equipment delivery and removal
- Assist Service Technicians in servicing HVAC systems
- Record call details using handheld device; complete paperwork; handle payments if needed
- Communicate status to dispatch
- Provide excellent customer service
- Promote products/services and generate sales leads
- Maintain company property and tools
- Represent the company professionally and ethically
- Ensure company vehicle is stocked and maintained
- Perform other duties as assigned
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Report hazards and unsafe acts
- Use PPE as prescribed
- Follow safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives
- Report injuries or incidents immediately
- Comply with legislation and company policies
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred
- Valid licensing/certifications as required
- EPA and safety certifications
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting
- Mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
- Ability to read wiring diagrams
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
- Flexible hours and on-call availability
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in confined spaces
