Job summary

A leading architectural firm in Metro Vancouver is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to oversee the technical design process and ensure compliance with standards. Key responsibilities include producing contract documents, validating designs, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience and proficiency in BIM, REVIT, and AutoCAD. Responsibilities
  • Producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in compliance with owner requirements, in collaboration with project teams.
  • Working with team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements, regulations, quality assurance and control.
  • Provide technical design solutions for both new and renovation projects including interior and exterior assemblies.
  • Leading assembly of specifications for projects using the NMS format.
  • Coordinating and leading internal production teams.
  • Coordinating with project sub-consultants.
  • Providing technical mentoring and project leadership to office staff.
  • Assisting with contract administration including site visits and working with construction contractors.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
  • 8+ years’ working as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated substantial product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; Bluebeam
Compensation

Expected Salary (in BC): $74,600 to 102,600

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
