A leading security company is hiring a Security Compliance Officer at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and escorting workers to restricted areas. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, security-related experience, and a valid Class 5 license. This role requires 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.

Site Description : Halifax Stanfield is Atlantic Canada’s principal full-service airport providing passengers and cargo clients with direct access to markets across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean Basin, Europe, and Asia. Halifax Stanfield offers Canada Customs services on a 24-hour, seven day a week basis, and it’s the only airport in Atlantic Canada with U.S. preclearance and International to Domestic processing facilities. The Airport is a major economic generator, contributing $3.8 billion annually to the provincial economy pre-pandemic. In 2020, Halifax Stanfield served 995,000 passengers and processed nearly 33,000 metric tons of cargo.

A Security Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring all Transport Canada regulations are met within the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The expectation of this position is that all individuals would be highly trained and would have the ability to escort construction workers through the airport, specifically to restricted areas. Individuals will work 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation consisting of 2 days and 2 nights.
Criteria :
- Previous experience in Construction or Industrial work sites is required.
- Have 3 or more years of clean driving experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Have the ability to drive airside.
- Security related experience.
- A high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- If you are selected for this role the following conditions will need to be met in order work at the site :
- Completion of First Aid.
- Valid RAIC through Transport Canada.
- Security license through the Department of Justice.
- AVSEC Training course (5 days, paid).
- Online training courses through Paladin employee portal.
- Additional courses as required.
