Overview

The Decision Management team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to execute on our regression test strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about software development and testing, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an ability to drive and introduce improvements to our existing regression test coverage and strategy.

Role

1. Play a crucial part in a technical test role to help drive Quality and to build, implement and execute tests, automation improvements and reporting for our regression release cycle.
2. Collaborate closely with our test teams to enhance our existing software testing processes.
3. Partner with integration testers, SETs and development teams to improve and automate test and release processes.
4. Help make Quality an integral part of the development process.

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

1. Have experience in core Java programming for test automation and the ability to identify, write and execute automated tests.
2. Have experience in refactoring regression test sets written in Java.
3. Have knowledge and skills in test fundamentals and methodologies.
4. Be experienced in working with development and release teams.
5. Have the ability to create acceptance and integration automation tests, integrate with Continuous integration DevOps CI/CD (Jenkins/Bamboo) and code coverage tools (Sonar).
6. Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly.
7. Have test analysis and reporting ability.
8. Ideally, be QAI, ISTQB or ASTQB qualified.

Additional capabilities

1. Experience in Integration testing needs with exposure to data virtualization tools.
2. Exposure/knowledge in cloud-based applications.

Pay Ranges

Vancouver, Canada: $88,000 - $141,000 CAD
