The Regina Open Door Society (RODS) is a non-profit organization that provides settlement and integration services to refugees and immigrants in Regina. The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to staff the full-time term position of Case Management Facilitator. The term for this position is September 2,2025 to April 30 ,2026 with possibility of extension

Position Summary

The Case Management Facilitator is responsible for coordinating RODS Case Management activities and for providing case management support to newly arrived government-assisted refugees (GARs) and immigrants during their first year of resettlement in Regina. The facilitator will each hold a caseload, comprised of individuals and families, which they will assist in integrating into the community, for a period of up to twelve months.

  • Client Services
  • Coordinate Case Management activities
  • Provide training to new staff members
  • Maintain an active caseload of 25 to 50 individuals
  • Conduct needs assessment and review the needs assessments for newcomers provided by the Case Management Triage Center
  • Welcome, interact, and support clients accessing the program and be available and approachable to address client's needs as they arise.
  • Responsible for necessary interpretation and translation for direct service delivery with clients.
  • Conduct initial intake and needs assessment, needs assessment matrix, quarterly check- ins, empowerment plans, and on-going needs assessment as required.
  • Provide appropriate and client-centered information and referral regarding the various services and resources available in the community.
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date client files, input client data and information into the program database, complete government documents and forms, provide referrals, write case notes, and provide regular follow-up with clients.
  • Conduct regular home visits, and accompany clients to various appointments in the community for different services and resources.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients for services and resources in the community.
  • Provide life skills, telephone support, and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Participate in case management meetings with internal staff and external service providers.
  • Coordinate and facilitate program activities as required.
  • Maintain good relationships and collaborate with other internal programs and external service providers to provide support to GARs.
  • Work from a lens of continual improvement of customer service, including evaluation of the program on an on-going basis and making recommendations for service delivery improvements.
  • Work in a team and independently to provide support to newly arrived GARs.
  • Participate in supervision and consultation regularly with the Client Support Services manager.
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Regina Open Door Society.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Other Duties

  • Participate actively in all mandated training, staff meetings and workshops
  • Maintain and submit accurate tracking documents and monthly reporting updates to the supervisor
  • Maintain appropriate database records and files pertaining to settlement services provided to clients
  • Ensure proper and confidential handling of all client information and files
  • Operate by following the policies, guidelines, and protocols of the program and partner organizations
  • Accept other duties as assigned
Desired qualifications/Education

Education:

The minimum level of education required is a Community College Diploma preferably in Social Services, Counselling, Psychology, or related fields.

Experience:

Minimum of two year of experience in working with newcomer families, including adults, children youth & seniors and working in partnerships with other health and community agencies.

Physical/Manual Competencies:

Ability to operate normal office equipment such as computers and printers

Keyboarding skills Cognitive Competencies:

Ability to read and communicate straightforward and routine information to clients, CCLC

staff, school staff and other partners

Ability to read and authenticate client documents

Ability to prepare standard reports, forms and program statistics


Social Competencies:

Ability to demonstrate anti-oppressive practices

Ability to provide trauma and violence informed care

Ability to demonstrate a commitment to respond to clients' requests and needs on time

Ability to communicate effectively both in individual and in group settings

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Ability to work in partnerships and collaborative relationships across different stakeholders


Operational/Technical Competencies

An appropriate level of proficiency in the principles and practices of newcomer services, group facilitation and community development

Basic digital and computer skills

Job Characteristics

Decision Making:

  • Makes major program-related decisions in consultation with the Team Leader /Manager
  • Follows policies, guidelines and procedures in making decisions

Working Relationship:

  • Works under minimal supervision from the Program Team Leader
  • Communicates with a wide range of audience including staff, volunteers, clients, clients' family members, community partners and general public

The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday. occasionally works evenings as required; some travel required within the city of Regina

All positions at RODS require a clean criminal record/child abuse registry check. There is a cost- shared benefit package and a 3% employer contribution to the Saskatchewan Pension Plan available to the employee with successful completion of a six-month probationary period. The annual salary for this position is $54,440.59($31.02 per hour)
