Job summary
A technology firm is seeking a software developer to design RAML files and develop microservices in compliance with architectural specifications. Candidates should have a university degree in computer science and extensive experience in REST and microservice design. Key responsibilities include collaborating with teams on Windows Server migration and ensuring application compatibility post-migration. This full-time role is based in Vancouver, Canada.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in REST and microservice design.
- Knowledge of testing practices with MSTest, Process Tests and Unit Tests.
- Experience with ADO Stored procedures and functions.
Responsibilities

Break down work so blocking issues can be foreseen or work can continue until they are resolved. Effectively communicate changing needs and information requirements to analysts and other developers. Read other projects and follow patterns presented appropriately but able to present new ideas effectively. Able to produce effectively on your own with a little direction. SQL Server. Visual Studio 2019. Core. TFS. IIS.
Assess existing Windows Server 2016 infrastructure and application dependencies. Design and implement a migration strategy to Windows Server and -based web applications. Ensure compatibility and performance of Excel-based tools post-migration. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth transitions. Perform rigorous testing, rollback planning, and post-migration support. Document all procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
