Job summary

A community service organization in Ontario seeks a Community Living Support Specialist to provide mental health support to children in the YES Waiver program. Responsibilities include partnering with team members to meet individual goals, monitoring treatment progress, and facilitating skill-building in community settings. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of mental illness as defined in the DSM-IV.
  • Valid Texas driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Community Living Supports in partnership with team members.
  • Monitor progress towards treatment goals and gather necessary evaluation data.
  • Facilitate modeling and coaching in the community.

Skills

Working with individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder
Crisis intervention
Knowledge of psychotherapeutic medications
Person-centered recovery
Bilingual

Education

Bachelor's degree in a social, behavioral, or human service field
Master’s degree in psychology, social work or a related human service field
