A public safety organization in Ottawa is seeking a Youth In Policing Initiative Coordinator for the winter term. The role involves hiring and supervising youth participants while providing guidance and support throughout the program. Ideal candidates will have completed at least one semester of post-secondary education, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and be familiar with Microsoft Office. This position offers flexibility in hours during the program's administrative phases.

Position Title: 2026 WINTER Youth In Policing Initiative COORDINATOR
Section and Location of Work: Youth Section with location of work to be determined
Hours Of Work: 12 - 35 hours per week
Standard Length of Placement: Winter Term
Rate of Pay: $22.36/hour
The Youth in Policing Initiative is a Provincially funded program for youth 15-18 attending a secondary school program. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to learn about the Ottawa Police Service, our community, and to develop new skills to increase their future employability. The program will allow students to consider policing as a viable career in the future.

Monday to Friday day shift schedule. Occasional requirement for evenings.
The Coordinator may be required to work intermittently from November to December and/or full time one to two weeks before the start of the program to assist with administrative duties and planning related to the program. Program schedule and hours/week to be determined.
