Qualifications

Join our Team at Eckville Farm Centre!

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Are you detail-oriented with a hands-on approach? If so, the Eckville Home Centre presents the perfect opportunity for you! Join our team at the Eckville Farm Centre as a part-time Yard Attendant.

Position

Yard Attendant

Part-time

24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability

Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure equipment is operated in a safe and responsible manner
  • Keep yard and warehouse free of obstructions, debris, and snow and stack pallets as required
  • Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts
  • Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery
  • Stock, face and rotate inventory following the First In, First Out (FIFO) process
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is an asset
  • Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
  • Experience running a forklift is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
  • Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
