In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Supervisor or designate, the X-ray Combined Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and carrying out diagnostic procedures either independently or in collaboration with a radiologist or other physician; applies radiation safety principles and practices to protect patients, staff, and the general public; and completes required documentation and administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And Experience

Graduation from a recognized combined Laboratory and X-ray Technology Program, and one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
