Role & Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities necessary to keep industrial equipment operating efficiently. Tasks may include but are not limited to motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Become familiar with plant work order systems and preventative maintenance systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, cranes/hoist, rigging equipment, welders, fall restraint, etc.
  • Adhere to all safety and housekeeping requirements within the manufacturing setting.
  • Embrace and contribute ideas for further enhancements for all plant safety.
  • Develop and maintain good employee morale and working relationships within the department and with other departments at the plant.
  • Assist with the implementation of CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, Visual Work Inspections, etc. as required.
  • Accountable for updating LEAN metrics and supporting continuous improvement efforts by using Lean Six Sigma methods to make processes more efficient and reduce waste.
  • Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, and able to be on-call as necessary, etc. where and when applicable with advanced notice.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience as a Journeyman Millwright required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, machine, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Effective teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills needed with all coworkers.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Periodic travel may be required during the training period.
Hours

4 10-hour days per week plus 1 week of on-call including nights and weekends.

Pay

$40-$48.25 per hour.
