Job summary

A progressive municipal employer in Canada is seeking a Water Wastewater Facilities & Distribution/Collection Operator to ensure safe and clean water for the community. Responsibilities include routine repairs and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater systems, operating facilities under supervision, and participating in an on-call rotation. Candidates should possess a post-secondary diploma and relevant certifications. This full-time position offers a pay rate of $34.27 per hour and the opportunity to work in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Ontario Class “D” Driver’s License with a “Z” endorsement.
  • Must have worked a minimum of one (1) year as a Certified Water or Wastewater Treatment Operator.
  • Strong knowledge of Safety Regulations and Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repairs, maintenance, and installations to municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
  • Operate Water and Wastewater Facilities for safe and clean water.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency work.
