Position: Labourer  Type: Seasonal  Location: Suncor Fort Hills GLS  Schedule: 7 on/7 off Rotation (Compressed Work Schedule)

Role Summary

Under close supervision, performs basic, non-technical tasks to clean/maintain all company light vehicles. This position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain wash bay machinery and supporting equipment.
  • Washing and cleaning trucks, trailers, and other light, or industrial equipment.
  • Performing general housekeeping to ensure that the wash bay is clean and organized.
  • Reporting any new damages and safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Operating equipment and vehicles to and from the wash bay area.
  • Perform related work assigned by supervisor as required.
  • Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested.
Education & Experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have CLASS 5 Drivers License and a Clean Abstract.
  • Wash Bay or high-pressure washing: 3 years (preferred)
  • H2S Alive
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation) certificate required
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Ability to read labels, directions, etc.
  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
  • May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Safety conscious attitude
  • Must be willing to work in fluctuating climates (hot, cold, wet) and environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English.
