WAREHOUSE WORKER - Job Summary:

Our Warehouse Workers play a very important role in our business; they ensure our production department gets all the stock needed to build our mattresses and that our customers get their orders on time. The ideal Warehouse Worker is hard-working, a team player, reliable, possesses good technical skills, and is detailed oriented.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.
Schedule
  • Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 7am-5:30pm
Pay:
  • $17/hour
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Receiving, processing, labeling, and storing incoming stock
  • Recording exact arrival and departure times for shipments
  • Inspecting all stock for damages and keeping records of the damages
  • Delivering stock to the production lines
  • Picking up finished goods from the production lines
  • Preparing and loading orders for shipment
  • Maintaining clear records on all inventory and stock
  • Organizing the warehouse space
  • Operating stock management tools i.e., a forklift.
  • Help other departments as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Pass a forklift certification test
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Experience/familiar with a warehouse management system i.e., SAP
  • Experience working with scanners
Physical Requirements:
  • Very Heavy work:Lifting up to 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently
  • Standing:To remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about
  • Walking:Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
  • Stooping:Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground
  • Talking:Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Hearing:Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound
  • Vision:The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work
  • Environment:The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
