Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Wholesale – Ontario Canada

Responsibilities

What you’ll be working on:

  • Supports Savers vision by assisting in the daily management of team members, equipment, and associated support staff.
  • Under the direction of the Warehouse Assistant Manager for Wholesale, coordinates essential product supply for shipping with warehouse staff and related personnel.
  • This position does not have direct reports.
  • Supervises and leads the assigned department within the distribution center.
  • Establishes working relationships with warehouse vendors and collaborates with management when new vendors are required.
  • Plans daily staffing for team members and, when needed, brings in temporary workers to meet requirements.
  • Develops plans for efficient use of materials and machinery (conveyors, vertical balers, forklifts, tractors/trailers).
  • Monitors and reviews equipment, procedures and practices to ensure safety and compliance with Savers/VVS policies and applicable laws.
  • Participates in and leads department- or company-wide projects in support of goals.
  • Facilitates efficient use of warehouse space for storing and shipping seasonal product.
  • Assists management in team member reviews and disciplinary actions, including documenting incidents and resolving conflicts.
  • Ability to step into each supervisor role on short notice to meet daily warehouse product/shipping demand.
  • Certified forklift operator.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Savers store operations (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Provincial and Savers/VVS safety regulations and requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated skills in supervision, management, leadership, and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated customer service and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of unloading shipping containers; ability to create reports and assign orders; interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions; interact with all levels of the organization; influence decisions; identify problems and propose solutions; set priorities and multi-task with minimal supervision; communicate effectively; provide direction to customers; participate in and lead projects; and maintain high attention to detail with strong verbal communication.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate across teams and projects.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience:

  • Two to three years of supervisory or related experience.
  • Must be able to train internally and obtain forklift certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; perceive detailed information visually and auditorily (written and spoken).
