Overview

We're looking for a WMS Consultant/Project Manager for a 12-month contract (Business Cut-over and Go-Live Lead). You will be involved in business activities for a critical system upgrade at a large distribution center – you'll need to come with deep understanding of distribution center operations, WMS functionality, and large-scale transformation projects. This is a project management focused role, NOT technical.

This is a remote role, anywhere in Canada. The main warehouse is based in Memphis, some travel required (20% approx.).

Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for overseeing the cutover, go-live activities, and ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations.

What you'll also need to have
  • Proven experience working in or managing a distribution center, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems, ideally involving system upgrades or large transformation projects.
  • Demonstrable success in leading complex projects, preferably with large-scale system implementations or upgrades.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to manage critical cutover and go-live activities confidently.
  • Expertise in distribution center logistics processes, including:
  • Receiving and put-away
  • Inventory cycle counting and management
  • Order picking and packing
  • Shipping and outbound logistics
  • Returns processing
