Job Summary

The Warehouse Hand is a key player in supporting efficient warehouse operations. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Lead, they are responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and products while maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Accountabilities (Outcomes & Measures)
  • Material Handling – Materials are received, stored, and issued by following established procedures with minimal discrepancies.
  • Warehouse Organization – Racking, storage areas, and aisles are maintained in an orderly and accessible condition.
  • Equipment Operation – Material handling equipment is used safely and responsibly.
  • Safety Compliance – Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration – Support colleagues and leaders by maintaining open communication, a good attitude, and assisting in process improvements.
Responsibilities (Tasks & Duties)
Material Handling
  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.
  • Unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
  • Label and store materials in assigned warehouse locations.
  • Ensure proper rotation of stock where applicable.
Process & Procedure
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and suggest opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in troubleshooting warehouse issues and contribute to corrective actions.
Workplace Organization & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S practices.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse racking and storage areas.
  • Stage materials for production or outbound shipment as required.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and defective equipment or materials to a supervisor.
  • Participate in safety training and actively apply safe work practices.
Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and managers.
  • Support other departments as needed to meet overall production targets and objectives.
  • Provide feedback on production methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem‑solving discussions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to frequently lift parts up to 50 lbs and remain standing for extended periods.
